Dr Naheed Saleem specializes in the treatment of Women mental health issues, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Opioid Use Disorder, Alcohol use disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Anxiety disorders, and Panic Disorder.


Women's Mental Health Issues
Perinatal Depression, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, and Perimenopause-related depression are some of the women’s issues we treat.


PTSD
Reexperiencing the event with distressing recollections and persistent avoidance of stimuli that might invite memories or experiences of the trauma are common side effects of PTSD.


Bipolar Disorder
Intense mood swings that include extreme highs and lows (mania and depression respectively.) Major depressive episodes, insomnia, and too much sleep are also some other common symptoms of Bipolar Disorder.


Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorder
Intensive cravings that block or significantly impede other thoughts. Engaging in risky behavior under the influce or engaging in risky/illicit behavior in order to acquire the substance can be indicative of a more serious substance abuse disorder.


ADHD
Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. Adult ADHD can lead to unstable relationships, poor work or school performance, low self-esteem, and other problems.


Anxiety and Depression
Depression and anxiety are different conidtions but it’s common for them to occur together. Severe or long standing feelings of depression or anxiety can be a sign of an underlying mental disorder.
